It Only Takes One

While Fentanyl continues to linger in our country’s most vulnerable neighborhoods, it is imperative that we work together to protect our precious little ones. Due to the high volume of accessibility, it’s not a matter of IF your child is offered a pill laced with fentanyl — it’s a matter of WHEN. To help reduce your child’s risk of a fentanyl overdose, please talk to your child about the deadliest drug in America.

Fact: Fentanyl was developed in 1959 and introduced in the 1960’s as an anesthetic.

What is Fentanyl? It is a potent synthetic opioid drug approved by the Food & Drug Administration for use as an analgesic (pain relief) and anesthetic.

Fact: Fentanyl is 50× more potent than heroin.

Fentanyl is being pressed into fake pills, or cut into heroin, cocaine, and other street drugs to drive addiction. Fake pills are fentanyl-laced pills that look almost identical to prescription pills like Adderall®, Oxycontin®, Xanax®, Percocet®, and other pharmaceuticals.
